Description
Create beautiful drum heads and handcrafted projects with bleached goatskin rawhide hides! These natural, untanned goat hides have been dehaired, bleached, and cured to create a firm, stiff material with a light-colored appearance. Ideal for traditional drum making, lacing, mask making, lampshades, and other creative projects, these hides offer a versatile material for crafts that require structure and durability.
Unlike tanned leather, bleached goatskin rawhide can be soaked in water to become more pliable for cutting, molding, and shaping. As it dries, the rawhide stiffens and retains its formed shape, making it an excellent choice for projects that require a firm finished structure. Each hide features natural variations in color, shape, size, and surface markings.
